Moody it is, I'll give you that. The Top Left light distracts me, specially on a dark photo. Plus it could be my garage, not necessarily a theater.

What's wrong with Fresno? I park myself most of the year in the Central Valley. Only place one can hide from the influences of San Fransicko !!...

Maybe this would be a great challenge photo for you to retake (I do this with many of my photos, when it is a place I can go back to often) try maybe to cut the main light, and perhaps use the other one, atop the table. Maybe hug the left wall a little bit, and show a bit of whatever might make this an obvious or subjectively enough a backstage photo.

Just my .02 cents, you probably did not want C&C. If so, my apologies.

For me mainly, it doesn't tell me that this is backstage for any theater...
