Here is a photo I took at Lake Sakakawea in ND. There was very little color and overcast day so I turned it into a silouette.

Interesting shot. I think i would like it better if you cloned out the boats in the BG and just leave the loan boat in the FG, but that is just me.

Based on your shooting conditions, I thtink creating a silouette. I don't mind the boats in the backround, it'stells the "fishing derby" story and adds depth. Nice shot.

Now that you mention it, it was a fishing derby and no one was catching anything. It was the 4th of July, very still and almost no color due to the overcast sky. We were in a boat next to these people. Talk about a quiet day, you could hear people talking from a ways away.
