This cargo ship is hauling in parts for a new windmill farm here on PEI. you can see the turbine blades stacked on its deck. The coast gaurd ice-breaker is waiting just out of the harbour to help this ship make it back to the shipping lanes. Thanks for looking.

A friend of mine work at the port of Albany here in NY unloading ships with these propeller blades on them. They are MASSIVE, I've seen them being trailered on the highway. The unit that these blades bolt to are a good size too, but they look like a camper trailer with no windows or doors cut into it. Nice captures by the way.

Wow those are impressive. I wonder how they're going to truck those across land?

Basicaly they just bolt wheels to one end of thoes massive shipping crates which holds to props each, and a hitch to the other end. It's quite interesting to see these coming down the road.

Yup, and they close the road as they go, or at least pull over all of the traffic.

Here in NY they only have an escort in front checking for hight limitations, and one behind to make sure everything is going as planned.
