Hey all, I just came across these forums on Google.. I think I'll be on here quite a bit, as there is so much I have to learn.

I wanted to post up this shot I took with the DIY Macro studio that I found on Stobists blog (external link).

Shot this with my 10d and 70-200 (Since it was already mounted to the tripod)

f/14
ISO 100
155mm focal
1/2 second exposure

After correcting the white balance, I decided to change it back to the yellow tinge... I think it added a little something that you don't usually see on a 'product' shot.

Since I used a 13w compact fluorescent bulb through tissue paper as my light source, it wasn't a nice clean light.. and that added a little something I think.

What do you think?

I think its quite interesting. Good lighting, a little strong on the side, but I like it!

Thanks... I wanted to cast a little shadow on the front... I think I'll play with it more and see what else I can do. The front of the lens is pretty boring.. maybe I'll they another lens..
