A charming lady from Bima, Sumbawa, Lesser Sunda island, Indonesia.
Canon 1dmk2, Canon 85mm f/1.2.
As always I would be really interested to know your opinions, critiques...
Thanks, Carlo

Wow...what an expression. Fantastic.

I love the textures and tones in this shot. It would be nice if her eyes were a bit brighter I think...but I like it as it is too.

Nice job.

All of your shots in B/W are really impressive. Care to share any of your PP/workflow?

Thank you all dear friends for stopping and commenting!
rparchen: I normally fiddle with 3 layers (Multiply, Hard Light, Screen) changing the opacity as the subject requires. Then I convert it to B/W with the 2 hue/saturation layer technique. Then color balance or filter!

Fantastic.
I've been thinking about getting the 85mm 1.2 for quite some time, but my wallet isn't as enthused about it as I am.

Canon T1i, 28-135/IS/USM, 50 1.8.
If someone wants to buy me the ef-s 10-22mm, PM ME... Just sayin'.

Would you be able to post an un-PP'ed shot? I love to see what this would look like before the conversion.

I love the lady and expression in the colour version especially
terrific detail in the black/wh shot but I think a little too harsh and dark for a gentle soul
beautiful person
