You may well be correct, but not accurate. It's not that way by "artistic choice". Sometimes when you are looking down on a scene like this the perspective dictates how the lines work. That is a receding shoreline, not a horizon line, therefore it obeys the laws of perspective and runs towards what would be the appropriate vanishing point. Still, if it causes confusion it may well be better to change it.

I stand corrected. I want to stress I love the shot it is almosr abstact

I'm enjoying your shots Greg...I never tire of shooting gulls....and every now and then get a good one. Specially like the wave shot in the previous post...great colours.
