IS does help. It's not the be all and end all but it does mean you get more keepers from difficult situations.

Here are some taken today from the zoo. It started out cloudy and dark in places, bright in others. It was tough (at least for a novice like me) to get the exposure right without getting handshake or motion blur.

The below was taken through grubby perspex so I'm happy with the results after a little love in photoshop.

Hand of Cod mate, we must have just missed each other. My wife and I were at the zoo on Saturday too.

Here are some pics we took. Nice pics with the other big cats. When we got around to them, all they wanted to do was sleep.

Haha SNAP! I would have noticed someone else with a 70-200 F4 so we must have been in different parts. Windy enough for you?

I guess I'm not the only one who recently visited the zoo. Just one for now, 'cause I'm too lazy/tired to resize and upload the rest.

It was ridiculously windy. All I could think of was dust, dust and more dust.

Astoundingly beautiful! Great shot and you can barely tell the fence is there.

Thank you very much. You gotta love the bokeh of this lens at f/4.

Thanks a lot. I did tweak the colors a bit, but I just played off of the colors that were naturally produced in the photo.

Thanks guys for the great compliments. I am flattered.

I just got my 70-200mm the other day and I am in love with it... Its such a pleasure to use. The AF, the colors, the IQ... Incredible. Well spent money!

Here is a pic I just grabbed out in the garden (until I really try it out this weekend). I mean, look at that 100% crop, the detail this lens picks up! And although my example is not wide open at f/4, the detail is just as incredible. I was just testing this lens all over its range to see how it reacts. But I liked this shot...

EXIF:
f/7.1, 1/320s, ISO 100, @135mm.

Moon Shot !

this shot has been taken with my 400D ( just sold ) and my 70-200 with a Tc 1.4, handheld shot in JPEG.
Post processing was only an adjustment in brightness, cropping and little bit more sharpness, all in DPP.

i really love this lens !

What do u think ?
