ok i have the A630 and i saw that the sensor size is 8.3MP and on the S3 IS it was 6.2MP ..... i dont get it.... does that mean my sensor size is larger than the S3 or do the numbers go backwards or something? :)

I'm no expert on this, but the numbers you are quoting are the amount of
megapixels for the cameras, not the sensor size. The A630 sensor size is 1/1.8, while the sensor size on the S3 is 1/2.5. I'm sure there's other members can fill you in on this more than myself, because I don't really understand this very well either. :confused:

Physical dimensions of the various sensor formats (external link). Remember, the A630 doesn't have as fast, or as long a lens as the S4, and it doesn't have IS. Megapixels aren't the only or overwhelming defining factor for cameras.
