Hey everyone,
Well, over the past month and last few concerts I have been to, I am beginning to get very interested in opening a portfolio and trying my hand at obtaining credentials for different concerts. My dream is to see a photo of mine in a magazine with my name in the tiny white print. I don't have that great of a camera, but get some decent shots. I was wondering if I should wait until I get a better camera, or if I should go for it. And maybe I have no shot at all, please let me know so I don't embarrass myself, haha :) Here are some of my photos... ( I am deffinately aware that I have to work on shot composition  Since these I have learned I should get more in the photo, not chop off the end of the guitars, not chop off the top of heads, etc.)

i think you're off to a fine start. you have some nice stuff here. of course, better gear makes it easier, but you can get a great picture with almost any camera. some of my first credentialed shows were shot with a 3mp sony (and my 35mm).

Ah, branching out I see! :-) Rick has the collages but I have no clue where he is or when he'll be back or when he'll have the talent sign. Very typical music business.

Keep at it Brandon...

You have an eye for composition, subjects and framing...that's half the battle...so now you have to apply those skills...it also becomes a numbers game...apply your skills and take lots of pictures...some good ones are bound to fall out of the lot...

However, the bulk of your success will come with experience...you need to capitalize on the positive results... remember what you did correctly during the good shoots... and build from that positive experience... If you apply your experiences positively, the "gains" become cumulative and progressive...
