Well, not really it's my son and his friend posing for me and doing a good job with their 'sad' look. C&C welcome. :)

I like it and the feel reminds me of a billboard from Notts city council about a little boy made homeless because his dad didn't pay the rent.

is it me or does it seem obvious that you know the kid in the second pic is from the UK just by looking at the shoes? i've noticed that with most people who visit the US from the UK

The shoes caught my eye, too, but only because they look out of place on orphans. ;-)a

They'd be real winners with some period clothing.

I like both, but the horticle works better in the second one because of the angle he is standing, nice job

You did a great job but my thought was "orphans with designer clothes"

The first one, he looks orphaned, but the second one he just looks like he's going to jump someone.

Besides they're obvious similarities in composition, the expressions and poses make these two photographs very different. The boy in the first shot looks scared or apprehensive and the boy in the second shot looks like he has a "Don't mess with me" attitude. Nice captures.

#1 is my favorite, though #2 has a Newsies look to it :)...

I also like the sepia type coloring, as it gives it tons of ambience.

Thanks for sharing...
