I have a quick question about printers. I am looking to buy a decent $300.00 to $400.00 range photo printer. Who makes a decent one in that range? Does anyone have one that they really like and recommend to look at?]
Thanks.

I imagine the Pixmas are even better. Film: Leica M-4, Elan 7E, Rolleiflex 2.8f, Pentax 645 -- Digital: Canon Pro-1, EOS 5D Mk III

And they definitely run out at different rates. If you are printing alot of outdoor shots with lots of blue sky, blue will run out quite quickly. I don't know the cost of the dye inks, but my cartridges run about $12 US each. I always keep a spare set on hand so I don't have any downtime. Seperate Ink all the way! I personally don't have one like this (but I wish i did :cry
