I was told to visit this site for some very much needed help. I received this camera as a gift for xmas and I am still trying to figure out the settings. It does so much and I really LOVE the camera...I'm just having trouble with getting pictures "perfect". I'm going to Disneyland in a few weeks so I realllly want to have it down by then.

First of all..what's the best every day setting? Some of my pictures seem perfect, then others seem overexposed ...they make my son look like a ghost at times from the flash.

And night time..the setting seems nice and all..but again the flash washes everything out.

Blurry...is there a good setting for all the action shots. I feel like such an amatuer now with this camera and I know I'm not that bad. It just seems like it does so much more than I'm used to and I need some hand holding.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU :)

I just gave my non-photographer wife an SD600, pre-set to Camera M, which will let you change some things once you get the hang of them. Flash will overwhelm the subject if it's too close; try to stay at least 3 ft. away and use the telephoto part of your zoom if necessary to avoid this. Also, a very small light subject in a dark area will throw the flash off.

Blurry - you may need the "Auto Hi ISO" setting and "Kids and Pets" - that's about all the SD630 offers to control blur, which you need a fast shutter speed for (and the SD630 doesn't let you set this directly).

my other problem is once I find a setting, I can never find it again. I swear I found a setting on here that let me take pics in b/w and sepia. Something about color accent as well??? This camera is like a maze and of course I'd be better if I could find my manual.

It's the "camera" icon with the "M" alongside.
