What an amazing sight, she was!

20D + 85mm 1.8 for first three, and my brand new 50mm 1.4 for the last two. (only bought on the day QM2 left)
A very long day, shot a wedding, then went home, got changed, and drove to the other side of Auckland for the shots.
Well worth it though

It's one of several helicopters in the area at the time.

Thanks for the comments. :)

I only wish the ship was closer to the fireworks. I got them on a 10-20 mm Shot, but at 800pixels, they'll still be dots at either end of the photo ;)

Thanks and good luck tomorrow!

Just take your wide angle, nothing else would be useful unless you're far away! ;)

I was probably about 1.5km away from the wharf, and just under 1km when it was in the harbour. 50/85mm was plenty!
