I have images that were cropped to 5x7 in editing. I want to make some 11x14 or larger prints. Should I re-edit the raw files or resize the jpeg for best results?

_Hi, I see where you said to save the file as TIFF. Why not a JPEG? Just curious. Trying to learn as much as I can. Thanks_______________

hey Mike, its just easier for me, everytime you save a JPEG it looses some quality... of course its over a few hundread times but it does happen. What i mean is, after re sizing and printing, ill just delete that (printed) version.. i save the original as a TIFF and a copy as JPEG which goes to my website and also in a folder i keep all the images that are on the site in for referance. so i end up with.... the orig. RAW, a full rez copy in TIFF, a Jpeg on my site and a copy in the site folder on my Desktop...lol a bit excessive? not really.

If i have to crop for a print, I always keep a copy of the uncropped version, so I later can print another version, with another crop.

Thanks Zacker. You taught me something else I didn't know, about the JPEG loosing quality over copies.

I always keep the RAW files and then resize in JPEG and save in different folders, one for archive, one for printing and one for posting. It takes up a lot of room, but I only process a small percentage of the shots I print.
