I'm trying to find a calibration/preset to help with the hideous red/orange problems ACR has with my camera before I try to come up with any of my own. I must be brain-dead or something, because I just can't get one that comes close to the default conversion that RSP or DPP gives me.

Also, does everyone's calibration preset get set to ACR 3.1 by default? Just wondering if it shouldn't be using a higher version of ACR, and where you would find it.

Thanks for the presets, and keeping this alive Corey... I've just been too busy trying to work out some other kinks with LR and deciding how to go forward.

The XT was introduced with version 3.1 so that will be your default. If you had a 20D you would be using 2.4. I haven't found an XT preset either.

I highly reccommend getting the luminous landscape video tutorial. They explain all this in detail, but unless you're in the same lighting envionment all the time like a studio, creating an ACR preset don't really work. Its someting you need to make inACR then load into Lightroon

Nice work! I haven't had a chance to work on any presets, but I'll post up as soon as I finish a few.

80 presets available FREE.

I had a chance to play with these last night. They are quite different from the majority of the other presets out there. Each preset only adjusts one setting. In the right panel of the develop module there is the histogram, then basic, tone curve, etc. Each of these presets is designed to work with only one part of this panel. So there are WB presets (although these really are just mirrors of the drop down menu), Tone presets (which adjust all the exposure/recovery/fill light/blacks/brightness/contrast controls), HSL presets (including some for easy selective color sort of) and one that I really like for skin tone and another that I really liked for images with skies in them, then several B&W presets, and so on. While I probably won't use a lot of them they were fun and easy to use. The B&W presets were especially nice to me.

The site said that I would receive an email which I never did with the installer. Instead you just download it right from the site. The installer launches and does everything for you so no copying files from one location to another.

Anyway, just thought I would add to my post.

Yeah I saw those a week or two ago, and was overwhelmed by how many there were. I didn't see the tutorial videos they have until a couple days ago, and it made better sense... can give you a quick way to go step by step through the adjustments, and then you can stop and tweak whichever you want before moving on. (Haven't actually tried it out yet myself, however.)

I'm hoping a LR update will allow us to group and sub-group presets so that the preset menu doesn't become so cluttered.

Yeah. What is neat about those presets is that if you want to go back and adjust something, like HSL, there is a reset which zeros everything out or you can just click another HSL preset. Since each one only affects one parameter the rest of your settings don't get messed up.

I also agree that we need some folder structure for presets. Similar to the actions that we have in PS. :)

This is the way I've been building my library as well. It gets tough applying different presets over others, finding something cool and then not remembering what you did if you dumped the import and do not have the history. I just wish LR gave the ability to see what the original preset consisted of.

it does, in a couple different ways even. you can view the actual data in a xml type file or just zero a picture and apply the preset and notice the changes it made

Not exactly what I meant... I should have expanded on my thought a little... I meant it'd be nice if you could like right-click and see what settings are affected for the given preset or even choose to open a window similar to the "copy" window that will show you which selections are "live" - that's all.
