S45 pixel problem

Hi,
I've started to notice a tiny dot of light, particularly against dark backgrounds in my pictures with the S45. When I enlarge the area, the tiny dot becomes a square, so I'm assuming it's a pixel that's not exposing, or registering light or color. I love this camera, and aside from an occasional focus or metering problem, this is the first real annoyance. Any ideas? Can this pixel problem can be fixed?

It does sound like a hot or dead pixel. Canon can map them out, but for the S45 cost would probably be prohibitive if you don't have a warranty in place.
