Split Personalitree

Spotted this on a quad ride in the local river valley. My trusty S2 P mode f5.6 shutter 1/1600sec (auto WB.. auto exposure..lazy shot!) Crop only on post editing.

Great job everyone....I really enjoyed the entries.

First the bad news:

ThereseH....your photo was over the 200K limit (and you know that already)
CheesyD.....your photo was also over the 200K limit
abYss....sorry, but you know that your entry was posted after I had closed the contest.

and the winners are:

1st Place stanley_pope for "Luthers Workshop". Great textures and composition! (could have done without the vice pipes on the right hand side of the photo, tho)

2nd Place spur for "There was a crooked house". Warm colours, wonderful shape and perfect focus.

3rd Place snowrdr for "Wood Ducks...on wood....". My favourite ducks, and a nice wildlife capture. Too bad they were caught it in shadows too much to show off their natural colours.

Thanks again, everyone.

I pass the torch on to stanley-pope for #60

Weird. The photo is 184k on my PC but 223k when I check it here.

Oh well, congrats to the winners!

I hear ya, I was disqualified once for 202K, and it showed under 200K on my computer.

Congratulations to the winners. I thought this was a difficult subject, especially when the wood up here in Canada is under 4 feet of snow!LOL. I really liked the wood grain on the ukelele in Stanley's entry. Very nice. My personal favourite was the Sugar Shack. The contrast between the snow and the orange colour of the wood was lovely. Well done to all entries, very imaginative........R

Marc - Thanks for the first place, I later removed the pipe clamps, but as often happens (with me) I went with my first shot. There were lots of entries I count sixteen all good. My favourites were Sugar Shack and Wet wood. I will post new challenge in a few hours. Thanks to everyone who entered.
