Hey Everyone,

Just returned from a trip to Southern Oregon/Northern California.

Nice shots. I'm surprised you even saw them. They blend right in. :)

Thanks guys. I appreciate the feedback.

They do blend in, don't they? I can't take credit for spotting them. I was with a group and it was a collective effort on the Great Horned Owls. I did spot several on my own, but not these particular owls.

The Barn Owl apparently makes a habit of this spot as the person leading our group led us right to him. There is literally an arrow painted on the road to point out the cave he frequents. You wouldn't know what it was pointing at unless somone filled you in. This cave is on a hillside very high up amongst a lot of other caves.

Thanks. I was ecstatic when we found them! Over the course of 2 days I saw over 20! Keep in mind I've never seen even 1 in the wild before!

Thanks. I that's mine, too. The wind was really blowing his ears. I have another one of the same owl with a second in the same tree right before he took off.

These are magnicient shots T.D. How I would love to capture in the frame these owls. Your second shot of the great horned owl is stunning with strong yellow eyes and interesting to see the owl inside the cave, well done.

Great shots. The second one is amazingly clear and detailed.

I've yet to see an owl in the wild.

Thanks. I can virtually guarantee you'll see them if you go where I took these. I saw over 20 in a 3 day period. It was truly magical. This was at the Lower Klamath National Wildlife Refuge and the Tulelake National Wildlife Refuge. They're on the Oregon/California border.

Thanks. I love that one as well. The wind on his ears with the similarity to the tree really make this one for me.
