Hi all!

I just bought a Quantum T2d on eBay and got a new hot shoe sensor for my 350D from B&H. Everything works great! I read the instruction for the sensor and they talk about one of the switch setting. There is a setting for front Curtain/Rear Curtain. Everything else I could figure out but this one I need advice on. I'm a rank amateur so be kind.....

Thanks,

Clancy52

The terms front & rear curtain are used interchangeably with first & second curtain.
It's a function that changes whether the flash fires immediately after the shutter opens, or just before it closes. Generally first curtain is the default.

This page (external link) from Canon's Flashwork explains and illustrates it.
