Is it too dark? because I always tend to make them dark, as I love dark contrasty B/W photos...
I would be really interested in your opinions, comments, critiques...

Maybe a 1/4 to 1/3 stop, or so brighter? Just to bring the side of his cheeks into it, ever so slightly.

Actually I like the color one of this guy better, although I usually like b&w. And dark and contrasty is always good too. Is this one too dark? All the features of his face are there for us to see. It tells a better story this way, IMHO.
