Here's a quick way to do it in Paint Shop Pro, hwever the same principals apply in CS2 etc.

It is a large (~1MB) html page.

There is a real easy way using Photoshop CS3 to do image analysis and alignment. Do it with Layers (palette) and Auto-alignment (menu item). The trick is to use similar photos as Layers of the same File. Shift-click on two or more layers to select them in the Layers palette. Then do Edit > Auto Align Layers. Set the Projection to Auto and Click OK. Click on the little Eye icon in the layers palette to turn layers visible and invisible to see the changes. Erase unwanted people or things from a layer to expose the layer below. Flattening layers into one will create the new altered image.
