I wanted a tack-sharp capture of light and color which wasn't there. Or perhaps too often is... A bit like trapping a chimera, eh? ;)

The alien with the fishnet (or whatever he nets with it...) is making contact with something or someone. There was this sharp, glancing light streak - and then it was dark and silent. When I woke up, I didn't remember anything... only some faint memories of planets and star systems seem to float in the foreground of my brain...

i really love this shot. especially the black to the left looks like a cutout of person, kind of like the symbol on men's restrooms. . .. like a dummy you put out there to test what the real danger is.
