One way to learn about photography is to study another artist's works. It's not about what the equipment can do but what the photographer sees. Some of the truly artistic portraits can be found at the link below. I puzzled on each photo trying to guess his techniques of lighting, lens selection, medium (film/digital?), the color palette, the composition, the story conveyed by the images. The more I look, the more awed and puzzled I become. Perhaps you can help me by telling me what you see.
