Hello All

Here are a few shots of a couple of Neotropic Cormorants that I captured the other day, on the waters edge of the Corpus Christi Bay. Overcast, but the Sun did manage to break through on several of these shots

Canon EOS 30D, Canon EF 500mm f4L IS with Canon EF 1.4x II TC

Great catch Kidd. I always love how the back feathers fit so smoothly. They look air brushed on. :)

Feather detail is quite outstanding in the first two shots.
Excellent series, well done.

Thanks Trevor, I do too, I love these animals plumage too, it's as if each of thier feathers are solid, and unlike other birds feathers, (although I know that is'nt true).

You bet pal.... I gotta tell ya I like shooting overcast days.... I think the more even lighting helps a lot, as long as ya don't mind juicing the ISO, for the needed shutter speed..... Take care.....
