I have a digital Ixus 800. Does anyone know if the battery charges while it is conected via USB to my computer. I'm trying to reduce the number of chargers I have to carry when travelling.

Mobile phones typically use 3.8V or similar batteries which may charge from a USB however I have found charging in this way to be slow and incomplete because of the limited current and voltage. Max

Thanks for the reply. The Ixus 800 has a rechargeable 3.7v battery.
