And CF # III-15,. for mirror lock-uo. It ads a third setting (vs. just "on" and "off")
it's called "Down with Set" which to me means that with MLU "on" one only needs to press the set button on the main dial to get normal functioning again.

I would not say that so soon, we get all excited everytime (sans the 30D) Canon released something new. They were saying the same thing in 2004 for the 1DMII, unless you have the ability to keep old technology even though it works just fine, I cannot help but upgrading, i think Canon placed a chip inside me to buy all new products

HOLY CRAP!

Check out Custom Function III-7 !!!!!!!
"AF Microadjustment for up to 20 lens types"

Is this, or is this not user adjustable back/front focus adjustment?

You sure you wanna be happy about this boss? ;)

Imagine the flood of threads of whiners complaining about the front and backfocus after they've been tweaking this little adjustment and making it worse!! :D

Sorry, it sailed right over my head. What changed?

All the lenses at the bottom have large sections missing from them, presumably from when someone used the magic wand to hastily select them and put them on a different colored background.

Performance in the EOS-1D Mark III is extended through working with peripherals like external hard drives and GPS devices, thanks to the USB host function of the Wireless File Transmitter WFT-E2/E2A.

And it has GPS possibilities :) I think this will be my upgrade from my good old D60 ;) Just a totally amazing camera:)

I was gonna just wait to see what was released to buy but I wanted to shoot now so I got the 30D. Im sure it will serve me well (and allow for plenty of practice) But once I get the 1D Mark III I think I should be set for a long while. This camera should suit me fine for any situation (if noise performance is as good as 5D)

Whats the major differences between the old and new 580EX? I just bought this freakin flash a week ago. This sucks.

Its not going to do anything for you unless you have a Mark III camera. Its weather sealed, 20% faster recycling which is cool but the 580ex is already pretty damn fast.

You only see its true advantages when used with a Mark III

Sounds like the 1DMIII will outperform all when it comes to noise
