I'm most interested in noise performance. That's the only thing that keeps me from giving my 1D2N a perfect 10/10. Noise is still very well controlled on the 1D2N, but after coming from the 20D, it was a step backward (I shoot mainly iso 800+).

One thing I really like is the ability to adjust for front/back focusing in camera on a lens by lens basis. I think that's fantastic. The ni**nians over at FM are calling that a cheap copout and gimmick and that Canon should just fix the problems in the first place. It's funny how jealous they are over there on the dark side at this point.

QUOTED IMAGE

I think this should be on every DSLR, just like the tuner for the viewfinder. Plus it saves Canon the headache (tune it yourself)

Did I read where you could take the picture with the LCD like a P&S?

The Nikonians are not happy, they will take shots instead of admitting defeat

Dude, Nikonians are never happy. I've met lots of them and they're almost always a sour puss. Most Canon shooters I've met will acknowledge anyone whether they're using a Pentax or a Leica.

I don't want this to turn into a Canon vs. Nikon discussion though. Their jealously speaks volumes. Every time they're mad, that means Canon has succeeded. Remember how they reacted to the annoucement of the 5D? ;)

Just woke up here in Finland, but it looks like I'm still seeing dreams! :)
I put myself on preorder queue just three weeks ago for "the next Canon pro camera", but I never expected it to be so quick and cool. Can't wait to see it live.

customizable AF tuning! This means no back/front focusing issues I presume. Less services under warranty for Canon.

Sweet Dreams compliments of Canon. They are trying to make up for the public dissapointment in the 30D announcement

Now if Canon only removed their flash advantage they'd really have something to cry about. (And I wouldn't go thru bouts of Nikon envy ;) )

I guess none of you who are use to the viewfinder are excited about the live view?

Despite what some may believe, there is an advantage to having a live view LCD on the back of a pro camera. It may take some time, but they'll see the light. ;)

$1250 just like the last time? I'll do that ;)

I REALLY like some of the nice new features on the 1DM3 though...but the cost is just sooooooooooo way out there for me. That's the price of a 300/2.8 ISL.. and I know I can't do that :(
