Other listed prices:

Technik Direkt in Germany: €4556

That really surprices me because usually Germany is cheaper than Denmark. So either Technik Direkt is very cautious about setting the price or I made a fantastic deal

AC Foto in Germany: €4292

Hehe and well Digital Wonder World in Germany have a completely NEW beast on the list a 1D Mark III N  for €3998

And for a change the Swedes can get this at the same price as in Denmark. Sweden is usually a little more expensive than Denmark.

Scandinavian Photo: €3893

Okay, Calumet is now taking orders for the EOS-1D Mark III for $4,500 each.

http://www.calumetphoto.com …/Canon/?orderBy=pricedesc (external link)

However, Calumet is also asking $3,880 or so for Mark II N, and B&H is selling that same piece for $3,400, so take that into consideration, too.

But it does say this also:

The price shown is an estimated price based on the information we have from the manufacturer. Once we have actual pricing, we will contact you with that information.

Calumet has always been higher priced than the heavy magazine camera shops.

Talked to them a few days ago too Tommy.

First shipment should be like 10 Mark III's for the whole of Denmark. I might have gotten it wrong, but I can imagine some big cat fights here soon :)

Oh then I hope Photografica is on the top of that list because I am #2 on Photographica's list.

Hehe - I'm hoping the same at the shop from where I ordered. Was told they would be first in line, but that's prolly just another sales trick.

I've come to terms with that we might have to wait till May. A bit inconvenient when I need it for late April.

Is that the street price? If yes, it will worth for you to accommodate a holiday travel or just a weekend travel to a place where is cheaper !! (like Kobenhavn) :D

QUESTION can all 9 centre points be active at the same time i carnt work this out from the review - on the 1dmk2 you can have centre active and othere's active if centre carn't lock .
im thinking for birds in flight the centre 9 would make a nice size area to put on a bird.
Rob.
