I'm just curious what everyone thinks. I have been using Aperture for a while now but since Lightroom is out of beta, should I get it? The Photoshop integration sounds nice but how is it as a management/processing application?

I find the interface too tight - I find the way I view the image when developing it is not as "free' as when using ACR. Im not sure if you will get me on that one, but its not as tight and restricting. I really want to give Lightroom a chance, but its not looking good so far. Bodies: Canon 40D & Grip, Canon 5D

I agree with your feeling on Aperture, for me it's all the power it needs. But, I have worked with it on a a top end MacPro and the 24" iMac with 2 gigs of ram and it's smooth. 5DMKII •EF50mm f1.4 •EF85mm f1.8 • EF100mm f/2.8 ISL • EF17-40mm f/4L •EF24-70mm f/2.8L •EF70-200mm f/2.8 ISL

For that reason, I personally see no benefit to using Lightroom Bodies: Canon 40D & Grip, Canon 5D

I can only create a web gallery in HTML or Flash? Bodies: Canon 40D & Grip, Canon 5D

I don't have any experience with Aperture to determine whether or not it's a better program. I will say that I now prefer LR over everything else I've tried. I haven't used DPP all week. ~Spaceships Don't Come Equipped With Rear View Mirrors~
