Manfrotto 714SHB, 715SHB or 785SHB

I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive travel tripod that I can carry in a small backpack. I will be using a DRebel (300D) and a Sigma 17-70.

Has anyone used any of these tripods? Are they worth the effort? Any other similar tripods in the same price range?

I considered the 714 for my G5. It's small, and light. For a travel tripod with your rig it would probably be ok, but I wouldn't want to put anything too heavy on it. If size and weight is roughly the same on those three pods, I'd go for the one with the highest weight rating. Don't extend it any more than you need to, and it should be ok for a travel pod.
