I bought a Canon powershot s80 when they first came out, and i have always been most impressed with it's performance. However lately i have noticed something a little strange.

When i use shutter speed priority or aperture priority the camera takes 3 photos in quite quick succession. One looks how it should (although its not 100%), then one is under exposed and the last over exposed. Ive looked around the menus and can't seem to find anything that might cause it.

Has anyone got any info? Is there a problem with the cameras software maybe?

I'm not familier with your camera, but it sounds like it's set on auto bracketing, causing it to take one properly exposed photo, one under exposed and one over exposed. Check your setting menu for a way to turn off this feature. Hopefully, someone with your exact camera model will tell you just where to do that.

See Page 75 of the PowerShot S80 Advanced Camera User Guide.

Go into the FUNC SET menu...

You have to be in something besides Auto or P mode...

Select the third icon down on the left side to turn bracketing off (BKT-OFF).
