Just got my new Tamron 17-50 f2.8. This is my first 'better' lens since I bought my 20D. Just testing the focusing and the optics. I think it is focusing properly and the images are sharp but was hoping for some of the more experienced photogs on here to lend their opinions to a newbie.
Thanks in advance for the opinions!

Pics were taken ISO100, f2.8 and speeds of 1/4000th to 1/5000th.

1- at 50mm - straight out of the camera just resized

2- at 29mm - cropped slightly and resized

It's fine.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

I was shooting last night with only an overhead light (60w with shade) on and was able to get speeds of 1/60th at f2.8 without a flash. But I still need to test it some more with indoor lighting.
There is a archive thread going of pics

take a look at this thread and you can see how this lens performs.
