I'm sure a craft store would have it.

I got my Halogen lights at Wal-mart. the set was $35 or so. I do want a second set for the other side I think. And coming through the sides of a Translucent rubber maid container gives Excellent diffusion.
I backed mine with "Freezer paper." RIght now I have the shiny side up and can get a little reflection off it when angled right. I think the duller side would work better in some cases. When I needed black I used a sheet of 8x14 construction paper. It has a fairly low reflection and some texture. Seems to have worked pretty well, and I am going to try some more shots soon. I like that it is sturdier than cardboard too and if need be I can close it up and seal it.

Shooting with canon rebel T5 or Canon Rebel XS.
Kit 18-55mm, 18-55mm IS, Sigma 70-300mm APO Macro lens, Canon 60mm f2.8, nifty 50 and Speedlite 600EX-RT (Flash) Rokino 14mm f2.8 UltraWide

What do you mean by a set?

The lights are joined by a common cord that gives them at most a foot of seperation

They mount on a bar that can then be mounted on a 6' foot telescoping tripod

I got my Halogen lights @ Walmart. Also picked up a roll of Banner Paper from Walmart in the crafts section.

Menu in the camera or menu in the PP software?

Thanks, but what am I looking to change exactly? lol.

Also, would you say using PP software to touch up photos etc is "cheating"?

No, Adjusting Contrast, brightness, sharpness, and color balance etc is bringing out the best in your picture. And what do you mean by cheating? But that is a discussion for a whole other thread, and I'm sure has many threads dedicated to it.

This is amazing thread. I took me 2 days to read all the 181 pages. I love this topic and I will soon build my own light box. This is good reading. Where have I been?

What type of tripods are you using for your lightbox? I am looking to buy a tabletop one just for this purpose.

Nicely done. I like the stacking the light with Harry Potter there :).. I could probably do that I have enough books lying around with no shelf space. What wattage on your lights?

My material list..

1) Translucent "rubbermaid" type container, about 8x14 on the bottom but a little bigger up top.

2) 2 500w Halogen work lights.

3) White "Freezer paper" backing.

4) Aluminum foil along one side to reflect light back since I can't get my lights to go on both sides of the box.

5) 1 sheet of Black construction paper.
