This is so great that I'd hate to be a cardboard box right about now. :)

i built one like yours, but i also cut out the top, and put fabric over that, and i sit a lamp on the corner of the top, so i shines straight down. I then put my other lamps where needed (i often use 3). great setup though, and have fun, it's addictive. This was my shot that made my day when experimenting.

Very nice pepperoni, quick question:

Did you set your flash to fire or were the work lights enough?

I tried it both ways.. with flash and without. I ended up going mostly with flash. You can sorta see I have the flash aimed at the top, inside of the box where I have another sheet of paper that it can bounce off. I'm not sure if that's ideal or not, but I'm still playing with it.

Here is my 2 min box. Inspired by many of you...

I'll try with more powerfull light, and more than one. Anyway, that's all I could do for a very quick test. Ah well..., results are not so bad IMHO.

It's a very nice lens.

Based off the "exif" are you shooting in AV mode or full manual?

I was kinda disappointed that I didn't get to see some more great photos of the odds and ends you have around your house today.

:D

LOL! :D

Manual mode. I didn't shoot anything tonight. I layed on the floor in front of the fire and zoned out on the TV. I'm not sure what else I have around here that's interesting and I'd hate for people to get sick of ths thread. I do have one more cool diecast that I'll shoot tomorrow night, so check back then.

This is a fantastic idea...with great results. I was trying to figure out a cheap way to better indoor lightning for stuff like that. Thanks very much for sharing.
