Would any 300D owners mind sending me a couple of images shot in raw from the camera (both thm and crw files)? I'm trying to determine an issue w/ EXIF data and Apple Aperture.

It doesn't have to be anything in particular, a wall works just fine.

My email address is just my screen name here @gmail.com
Thanks, very much appreciated

Linh

On it's way :)

(I'm not sure what the pic is, but it's the smallest 300D RAW file I could find)

p.s. I use 350D raw files with aperture, what issue are you having?

OK, I know they're some pics from the Goodwood festival of speed, but I'm not sure which ones!

Bruck, if you take the raw file, and then export it as a jpeg, is all your EXIF data in tact?

Aperture itself will show all the values fine in the inspector, but for the jpeg it exports, it's missing the focal length (not sure what else might be missing, but f-stop, exposure time, date.... those are fine).

It's not the biggest deal, but it's really irking me as it seems like it'd be fairly simple for Aperture to do it

in aperture, you need to edit the export settings to keep the exif intact.

Yes, I know that and it is checked off. Like I said, it's not that all EXIF data is missing, just focal length (as far as I know). On the Apple Aperture forums, one guys was missing the date info. And one guy claims it's all in tact.

Unfortunately, I haven't found many other 300D+Aperture users.
