Best place and price to buy an A710 IS?

Hello everyone!
Where is the best place to buy an A710 IS. There are so many different sites on the internet and am unsure of which one. www.broadwayphoto.com seems to have good prices. Anyone deal with them before?

Avoid them like the plague. Their Reseller Rating is 0.8. Read some of the purchaser reviews and head to B&H Photo Video instead. You'll get what you ordered complete and promptly from B&H.

B&H is too much money for that. Circuit City has it for $274.99 right now. It's $50 and it's on sale off of that = $274.99. Best deal from a reputable place I could find quickly.

Also, anywhere in NYC...don't buy. There's a company up in Brooklyn i believe has about5-10 different sites. And if one ever closes, another one comes. CCI, Bananaboatcamera, and a few others. Funny, 'cause there are overwhelming reports of them not being good, but there are also great stories, unless that's there employees.

i bought mine at etronics.com around christmas time for about $280 . . . camera is still working, so i guess they're OK.

Anywhere? B&H and Adorama, to name a couple, are highly respected NYC-based stores. The dubious outfits seem to be based in Brooklyn, but I wouldn't go so far as to say they're all bad. The company you referred to was Broadway Camera, AKA A&M PhotoWorld, among other DBAs.

I should've have said anywhere in NYC. But if you check the contact address of some places, mainly ones with the best prices, they're all based in the same location.

You shouldn't have said anywhere in NYC. Main thing to remember with any business you haven't used before and haven't been referred to by a reliable source (like here) is check them out on Reseller Ratings first.

^Thanks...typing too quickly. Yahoo has reseller ratings as well. It's till interesting though some of the great reviews you read. I always wondered if they got their own people to do those or what? Whole different topic, but still...

As I've said over and over, if I have to order it, it will be from B&H. I don't really care if it is a few bucks more. Just knowing that they are not out to cheat me and there's no bait and switch makes it my only mail order connection. Of course I know there's other honest mail order stores out there, but I only need one, and B&H is it.

I have not had problems with buy.com or newegg.com. Those are about the only online places I buy electronics. For local I watch Office Depot carefully because they run very good camera specials from time to time if I want something I can pick up immediately.
