Yellow-rumped Warbler on your last bird. Nice shots!

Good shots. I like #4 the tri-color portrait. As for the blur in 2 and 3 you had 1/640th. I think the shots looks like they may have been front focused but that quick strike is hard to get. On the 20d you can go to ISO 400 with no problems too.

Yes, i could have gone to 400, but at the time i thought 640 was going to be enough. anyway, the first is most definitly out of focus, and the second one i think is a mix of OOF and just how fast the bird is.

Excellent series and well exposed captures Billy. Like em all but he first - "waiting in the shadows" - is just fantastic and quite unique.

Dang Billy, great shots, I took a shot of the same type tri-color heron this past weekend. Same potrait type shot and everything. Too cool.
