I'm looking for a volunteer that has a 1DMK2 with more than 65535 actuations on it to make a .CR2 file from that camera available for me to download.

I've written a small XP utility to examine the EXIF and display the actuation count but my 1DMK2 only has 2600 actuations on it and I need to test it with a file from a high count camera to verify that I've guessed the encoding correctly.

Once tested the utility will be made available free to all.

Thanks Jake. You can send me a PM if you don't want the link to go public.

Hi Jake. I make the count on your camera to be 12368 so I'm still looking for a higher usage camera although that's a nice low count for you. :D

I don't know about the old 1D but I'm happy to examine a file if you have one.

Holy crap. Looks like I got a good deal! My friend said he had no idea of the count but he estimated it to be less than 50,000.

The count stored in that jpeg you PM'd me is 88803. The format is what I was expecting, which is nice.

Thank you both for your assistance. I'll tidy the utility up and make it available for everyone at the weekend.
