Female Cardinal and digital zoom

This picture of the female cardinal seems to be fuzzy. Would that be due to the digital zoom?

If your camera zooms in on digital rather that optical then the answer is yes.
Did you crop the image? That could be another reason if you took the shot at a distant.
There is also a lot of noise in the shot, which is one good reason that's it's digital zoom.
Shame because it's a beautiful posed female cardinal.

A digital zoom basically just crops the picture for you. It shouldn't even exist in my opinion but I guess it can be useful in some instances (saving you the step of cropping the pic yourself afterwards). When I use my A430, I always have the digital zoom disabled.
