so, as a favour to a friend, I shoot some pics of him for free, since he has a meeting with a record company next week.
Two cancellations later (he had to get his hair done AND a spray tan) i send him some lowres jpgs so he can choose a couple for me to do some PP on.
and well, it seems he can't wait for me to finish before he puts this baby up as his Myspace profile background (actual size portraied)

If your asking for people to help you retouch this then you need to turn IMAGE EDITING OK on. It's in your control panel.

Did yo utry and soften his face? it looks blurry in spots? Can you post an origional untouched photo?

it is merely a tale of misery and woe, as you hopefully realize if you read my text.
here, let me elaborate:

I DID NOT RETOUCH THIS PHOTO, THE MODEL DID
I AM IN A WORLD OF PAIN

I'm not sure I follow your woe/misery. You took poor images of someone, hoping to fix them in post processing, sent unfinished work to someone, and now are complaining that they posted them? Sorry if this sounds harsh, but if you're going to place blame, start with yourself.

ok. let me break it down once more

- THE BOTTOM PICTURE IS MY RESULT
- THE LARGE PICTURE IS THE FAILED RESULT MADE BY THE IMPATIENT AND STUPID MODEL WHO SHOOD BE ROBBED OF HIS PHOTOSHOP PRIVILEGES

i don't think that the bottom picture is in any way poor, nor did i hope to correct anything in post processing. i'm not a fan of the whole 'let's look like barbie'-look.

it was just too funny to not share.

Ok, I got it now. The top one is horrid, the bottom one is much better. Why would a guy want soft silky looking skin? It looks like he got tired of softening the skina and just quit altogether.

I see....I thought he had just posted the original rather than waiting for your edit. It would be interesting to see the original that he messed up so badly. Your edit is perfectly acceptable...his work, on the other hand, is another story

I don't understand, why did the model think that darkening the image would make it better?

i mean its like, "ohh ive got a great idea, lets take this really nice shot and do EVERYTHING we can to it to make it look horrible and ugly!"
