I have a digital rebel 300D and I am trying to shoot infrared with a hoya R72 filter. Has anyone had any luck doing this without converting your camera? Thanks for any help!

sandpiper Cream of the Crop More info | Feb 27, 2007 18:44 | #2 I've seen some decent results from this kit, but expect quite long shutter speeds (or very high ISO settings) as the AA filter tries to block out infra red light and, as that is all you are trying to use, it can take a while to get enough of it.

I use a custom white balance by taking a picture (with the filter on) of grass or green leaves and use it to set the white balance. If you have the capability to shoot in RAW, you can adjust it there. The exposures are generally 15-30 seconds on a bright sunny day. Valerie B.
