Gorgeous :)

I find myself thinking compositionaly I should like the second one more as it's seems to follow all the right rules and have good balance and have less elements for simplicity but I can't help being drawn back to the first. I would not mind having the first one hanging on my wall.

Great work!

Technical perfection is only ever important if it improves the asthetic. It is not the precursor to beauty. Not in art..not in music and not in photography!

I love both but if I must choose my vote goes for the second one. Both because of the composition and the colours.

Why are the colours different in both pictures BTW? Is that just a compression issue or did you process them differently?

Absolutely fantastic - they really pop off the screen. I prefer the first one of the 2 images but only marginally.

Thanks for all the kind words.

Yeah, Monday.
I went up for the sunrise on the Buachaille but it was a bit disappointing.
The weather improved as the day went on.

Two reasons.

1. I used a CP filter on the second ( single frame ) image.
This will saturate the colours more.
I don't use this filter on panos because of the different effect the filter
will have at different angles to the sun.

2. The PP is slightly different.
I was looking for a darker, slight richer feel
to the second image.
