I noticed a couple of new kits on the B&H site today

A 30D with a 28-105:

And a 5D with a 24-105 f4L:

The 28-105 is a new "kit" lens - I haven't seen it offered with a body by Canon in the USA before. And I don't think I've ever seen the 5D offered as a kit.

They are not yet available, so things may change. I know B&H puts their own kits together, but if you look at the listing both of these have Canon manufacturers model numbers.

The kits that were introduced the same day as the 1D III were in the UK - I wonder if this is the (beginning of?) the USA push to drain the inventories so they can announce the new models.

Have Fun,

Rick

I'm not sure about the US, but in the UK the 5D with 24-105 was a kit when it was first released.
