Germany wins at Aussie A1 GP

Panned this one with a slow shutter speed then gave it some extra'whoosh' in Photoshop (wind filter).

I am not a fan of post processing blur effects if I'm being honest. I'd much rather see the orginal. Friends don't let friends use filters in their post processing.

Well call us anal but what would you rather have.

a.) a not so good picture hidden behind filters or
b.) post the original and get some tips on how to do better the next time.

Your first line of defense against dust on your sensor should be a rocket blower. Your second line of defense is the clone tool in photoshop.

Without seeing the exif data my guess is this is a very low shutter speed 1/40-1/80? at those speeds you give little room for user/camera/lens error. Try the popular 1/125th or 1/160th for panning in the future to get more reliable results and work your way down from there if neccessary.

To me the end result is the important part and if it pleases me then that is the main thing. If it pleases/interests anyone else then that is a bonus. Thanks all for your constructive comments.

The PP blur may have been better received had the car been more crisp to start with and the blur toned down just a bit. At a 1/40 pan it is very tough to get. Colors seem good, the track and grass is spot on.
