Went to delete the photos off my card and my camera just locked up...the light by the jog dial stays on but the camera won't let me do anything. If I switch it off the top LCD goes blank, but the busy light stays on. If I turn it back on, the top LCD says busy, but still won't do anything. Thought about pulling the batteries out, but that makes me nervous. I've searched here and checked the manuals.....anyone help? :(

Pull the batteries out. Nothing to be nervous about. You're going to have to do it eventually. At worst you'll get a corrupted card. At best you'll get your camera back to working. Look at it this way, if you don't do anything then eventually the battery will run down and the camera will shut itself off anyway.

That's about the only way to reset it. You need to remove the battery.

I got stuff for taking pictures. :o When things are unclear - It's time to refocus.

It isn't a Sandisk Extreme III by any chance?

Regardless if it is or isn't, find the receipt and send it back. Unfortunately I lost my receipt so the next best thing will be "lose the cf card in the rubbish!"
