OK, what if you bought one that back-focussed, then returned it for a replacement? Is that a yes or a no?

grinchy-

I think there are a few parameters here. First, what classifies as a focusing issue? Like how much backfocus do you need to call it a focusing issue, or does it have to be 100% accurate? There are some users here who have it 2-4mm OOF. Also, like gcogger mentioned, what if the first copy was bad and second copy was perfect?

I'd like to consider both scenarios focusing issues in my book.

the point is just because you had 2 bad copies does not make the 17-70 a bad lens period! you can analyze this poll however you want just wanting you to see the good to bad ratio of this lens.

what does the poll ask?
Does Your Sigma 17-70 have backfocusing issues?

it's not how many 17-70's did you have to go through to get a good one..

grinchy-

I am as interested in this poll as you are, however I'd like it to be accurate. I think that the objective of this poll is to see how Sigma's QC is, so I think it would be most helpful to select "Yes" if your lens has ever back focused originally, and not after you sent it in for calibration.

Also could you post a link to the focus test on the top?

grinchy-

Just edit your first post to include the focus test. I'm not trying to be hostile or anything, just want to get an accurate sense of this problem.
