Is this good price for a 30D?

Hi All,

This is my first post, but been reading for quite some time (good stuff here). I have an opportunity to buy a 30D from a well-to-do dentist for somewheres around $850. I haven't actually seen the unit but my Dad has and says its in good condition. I've also talked with the dentist and he says he's used it only a few times. (He now wants to get the latest 1Dmk3 I believe). So, is this a good price? should I bargin lower. Thanks.

I think its an amazing price! That is the camera I want & everywhere I've looked so far its been around $12-1500..I think you should buy it ..its an amazing camera Good luck!

You could buy it and sell it here the same day for at least $950 if it's in good shape.

850 from a trusted private party is a great price even if it comes body only. If you don’t want it, tell them that you have someone else who is interested.

Since the double rebates are over, $850 seems to be an excellent price, pending condition...
