I'm looking to buy a canon 100mm USM macro lens in the states and have a colleague of my dad's bring it over. B&H seems to have one of the lowest prices for a definate US version, which I take has a full international warranty? Is this so? Is B&H a "safe" buy? Anything else I should know? It's saving a good £100 off UK price...

In the bag: Canon EOS 350D | 18-55mm (kit) | 70-200mm f/4 L | 17-40mm f/4 L | 100mm f/2.8 USM macro | Speedlite 580EXII
In the pipeline: No idea. Suggestions?

B&H is a splendid place to buy. Great customer service, great products and great prices.

I'm not 100% sure about warranty, but I believe the USA version is more because you get USA warranty service. I believe it's the gray market lenses that only have the international warranty. But, don't take my word on it. Being in the US, I just buy the US version.

Go for it. I bought that exact lens last week, it's been delivered and I'm very happy.

Eh, I checked out most links from that page and didn't find anything about a 10mm/ring flash kit ¬.¬

Even if I just missed it, though, IIRC the flash costs as much as the lens itself (roughly) which puts the pair a bit out of my budget!

Cheers anyway.

I can't find reference to it either. Maybe you could point it out for us.

Eh, the only ones I can see are with a shiny 30D or 5D - which is definately out of my price bracket :p
