I sure would like to see members profiles filled out. When you see a flower, duck or bird picture it would be nice to see where that member was from and a little about them that the profile ask for.. ?!

Ck mine,, I give my name but could use a web anme,, where I am from, where I (do not work) and what my hobbies are.. My equipment is listed in my signature so everyone can get to know a little about me..

Just a thought :D Whats yours?

JZaun

It would be nice to know where folks are from or at least the general area.

I agree on all points. And its nice to see what equipment people are using, because when they post their pictures you get an idea of what that equipment is capable of.

I agree with it being nice to see where people are from but even if I had any gear I couldn't see myself listing it. The way I see it, that is what exif data is for. Listing gear in a sig just seems like bragging. Not too many people list just a single camera and one lens, that would be hardly worth bragging about now would it?

7 29' W puts you in the ocean somewhere west of France. I noticed this a while ago, but never mentioned it until now. Are you missing a digit?

I agree, plus some sigs are way too large anyway, it makes reading the discussion hard.

I do think it's nice to see where people are from but, we all have our right to privacy so I think it should be a personal choice as to whether you list your loc or not.

I shoulda said something earlier. I think it's been that way for months.

I was always thinking you were on the Azores or something, but then you mentioned something about the US or Pennsylvania or something, so I MapQuested the coords. Then I promptly forgot because somebody posted a duck and I was off to look.... :)

Just a note on the equipment list. I don't see it as braging just listing the equipment that photographer has. It would let a new member see what others use. You could look at a pic, ck that persons equipment list and make a good guess what they used. Maybe not the exact lens but if you see one of my bird pics and look at my list you would probably guess the 100-300 and you would be right. I was supprised to see some great bird shots and then learn later that they were taken with a P&S! WOW
It was mentioned that equipment info could be gotten from the EXIF but if you save for the web with PSE2 EXIF is stripped ?!

Just my thoughts

Now we know CDS lives in the middle of the ocean :D
