My main problem with sigs is that some are way too big & they end up hindering the readability of a thread.

Bwaaahahahaha.......

I'm only laughing because I used to hang out a lot more in forums for Distributed computing... where the Sigs are giant bill boards!

In fact,. here are some I or a team mate use or used at one point;

Okaaaaayyyyy... thats actually quite bad... no, really bad.

I have seen sigs like that elsewhere before, I can't stand them...

Just my 2 cents :wink:

EDIT: maybe I'm just nitpicking, this is actually one of the easiest forums to read that I have come across.
There are some real shockers out there...

Anyways,. I just find it ironic,. because from where I come from,. this forum does not even have "sigs" per say...

On many forums it will even be a number of those boxes you see... each with real time stats being refreshed overlayed in the free space...

Like these;

Check out MeadMaker with like four billboards and ALL THOSE WHITE LETTERS ARE REAL TIME STATS :shock: :shock: :shock:

On the flip side,. I do agree with you Garethhhh,.. that this forum is not the place for such shenanigans! :)

And so does Pekka,. images can not even be included in a sig line.

I know I am currently listing gear,.. but for the record,. to quote someone else,. I find the gear lists "kinda lame"

I do it now only as a way to pass on the info in the what was a long saga of at one point having no camera,. to soon being faced with three :shock:

(watch the market place closely... soon...)

This is why I just leave it rather simple which I had in my sig for some time, until I started accumulating stuff and add this to my signature for all my stuff...I think not! Here's the not all inclusive list...
Canon EOS 10D w/ BG-ED3
Canon 16-35mm F2.8L
Canon 24-70mm F2.8L
Sigma 120-300 F2.8EX
40GB SmartDisk FlashTrax Drive
Canon EOS 50E
Canon T90 (FD mount):
Canon 35-70mm F3.5-5.6 FD
Canon 75-200mm F4.5-5.6 FD
I got lazy after this. Some more stuff is
cable release, external flash, CF cards, and suchlike.
